British activewear brand Gymshark is deepening its U.S. footprint with the launch of two flagship stores in New York. Here's what you need to know:

Gymshark is opening its first two permanent U.S. stores: a 4,000-sq-ft concept store in Long Island (opened Oct. 11) and a 13,000-sq-ft flagship in Manhattan (Dec), both on the heels of past pop-ups in NYC.

The U.S. already accounts for 50% of Gymshark’s sales, all via e-commerce; the new stores aim to boost online sales further, with physical stores historically increasing digital revenue by up to 13.9%.

Gymshark reported record annual revenue of $808 million for its year ending in July 2024, but also announced 296 jobs at risk due to restructuring, alongside plans to create 168 new roles to support long-term growth.

Each U.S. store will include up to 10% of bespoke merchandise in that location. The Manhattan location will also have live events and workout studios.

In June 2024 Gymshark opened a head office in New York and in September 2024 hosted its biggest U.S. event, Lift:NYC, which drew in 7,500 fitness enthusiasts.
