From Activewear to Skincare: Why Investors Are Betting on Adanola and OneSkin

From strategic investments to historic store openings, the DTC brands to watch are the ones securing capital, expanding globally, and launching into new channels. Here's what you need to know:

• U.K.-based activewear brand Adanola received a minority investment from Story3 Capital Partners to bolster global expansion and strengthen digital and retail presence.

• Skincare company OneSkin secured a $20M investment from Prelude Growth Partners. The brand is on track to generate $40–$50 million in 2025 revenue.

• Despite a 6% drop in Q1 fiscal 2026 revenue, Capri Holdings (consisting of Versace, Jimmy Choo, and Michael Kors) posted a strong net income of $56 million, a notable rise from $5M the prior year. A $1.4B cash boost is expected after the Versace transaction closes in H2 2025.

• The retailer Mecca launched the opening of their flagship store in Melbourne, projecting $1.16B in annual turnover. At 40,000 sq. ft., it will be the biggest freestanding beauty store in the world. The retailer is expanding into the health and wellness space as well.

• For the first time outside its own stores, Bath & Body Works is launching product displays in 600+ U.S. college bookstores, targeting a wide range of institutions from community colleges to Ivy Leagues.
